We’re committed to minimising the environmental impact in all we do. We keep our standards high because we hold the environment in the highest regard.
Our desire is to continually be innovators yet sustainability is the crucial driver behind the CG Roasters “Sustainability Program”.
MINIMISING THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Careful selection
of suppliers
We partner with coffee suppliers that are dedicated to sustainability and environmental awareness. Our coffee supply partners commit to environmental policies that include:
-
Efficient use of natural resources as an important cornerstone of our environmental policy management
-
The responsible use of water and energy resources and maintenance of air quality
-
Proper recycling or disposal of waste
-
Promotion of the effective use of resources through ongoing monitoring and training
Committed to minimise pollution and waste of suppliers
Us and our partners are avoiding at all costs the release of pollutants or, when avoidance is not feasible, minimizing or controlling the intensity or load of their release to within acceptable standards.
Our promise is to avoid or minimize the generation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials as far as practicable. Where waste generation cannot be avoided but has been minimized, our Partners will recover and reuse waste where possible.
Integrated Pest
Management
To control the ingress of pests into storage areas and limit the use of harmful fumigants and pesticides in the environment we came up with a range of integrated pest control strategies.
Us and our partners strive to use the minimal amount of fumigants or pesticides in all of our operations, complying fully with local regulations.
WE’VE REDUCED OUR
FOOTPRINT BY 70%
We have over 300 (310 Watts) Canadian Solar monocrystalline PV modules, producing over 132 000 KWH’s per annum.

First in segment recyclable coffee bag
Our goal is to create a “true” 100% fully recyclable coffee bag accepted by all recyclers in Australia without limits or restrictions imposed on how much material they would be willing to take, which is the current landscape for all coffee bags.
The road has been long, with the finish line now in-site. As we continue to work closely with our bag manufacturer, adhering to strict recycling guidelines we’re invigorated to see this “first in segment” bag structure specifically developed for coffee application pave the way in helping create a sustainable future.
